Pat Sharp is always one of the first names on the “team-sheet” line up. His stage performance is consistently great, adapting to each audience venue and theme he’s presented with.

Underpinning his brilliant on-stage performance is a man of great honesty, who is highly reliable, incredibly courteous and hard working. I would recommend Pat Sharp for any hosting, presenting and DJ work. A true talent who is pleasure to work with.

I have booked Pat several times when we have had big events for clients and the theme has been 80s

Pat is a great guy and does a great performance, not only as a DJ but also a host for the events.

I would recommend Pat for host and DJ, especially for the 80s party/event – he really brings back the good times from the 80s 😊

The proliferation of men in wigs which could be Rod Stewart or a nod to resident DJ (and all round nice guy) Pat Sharp, at the knots of Ghostbusters .

Speaking of Sharp, you can barely go a dozen feet without seeing him tirelessly posing for pix and signing autographs. He knows how to work a room. “I work every room I’m in,” he laughs. Here’s a man for who nostalgia is big business. “Ninety per cent of my career is about nostalgia,” he says. “I do PAs and DJ slots and it’s all about celebrating the past. I’m Mr Nostalgia!”

Sharp was such a hit that he’s already been booked for next October’s second Throwback cruise, featuring Tony Hadley, Bananarama and UB40. “This is amazing,” he says of the cruise. “All these people… this is their big blast of the year. They just want to remind themselves of those important years in their lives.”

Doesn’t he get fed up of being constantly stopped for selfies, though? Not a bit. He loves it. “If someone asks me for a photo, I’m honoured,” he says. “I don’t care who you are or how famous you are, it might be nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.”

“Pat was the host for the evening at our Top of the Pops themed FMBE Awards show at the Troxy London. He was both professional and charming with his awards delivery, and also delighted the audience with a lively DJ set that got the crowd up on their feet and dancing. He certainly proved popular with guests of all ages, who were queuing up to have selfies taken with him. If you’re looking for an upbeat, competent and charismatic host then look no further than Mr Sharp, I can thoroughly recommend him”.

Pat Sharp is Brilliant.

Before this cruise, I had no idea who Pat Sharp was. A DJ. Great. Got it. Onboard, I quickly realised he was the voice of a radio generation for a lot of Brits. He also was extremely good at his job. Yes, he served as a DJ. But he also was MC at every major event, he co-hosted the morning TV show with the cruise director and spent oodles of time meeting passengers face to face. (The closest equivalent in the U.S. I could think of is a man named Rick Dees, host of the weekly top-40 since 1983, though he never sported as impressive a mullet as Pat Sharp once did.) Sharp fully embraced the over-the-top nature of the ’80s while paying homage to the impressive artists who performed onboard Navigator of the Seas.
